Welcome! Think you for visiting and make yourself at home! I created this blog to offer positive, inspiring and encouraging guidance for woman. While I don’t call myself a feminist, I do believe in female empowerment. I hope as you read, this site will resonate with you in some way. As a woman, especially a young woman, I stand for more than the norm. There is so much negativity in our culture I hope to be a small ray of light and positivity (If you want to know more about me check out this introductory post). I embrace my youth but operate with the mindset of someone a decade ahead of my time, I continually pray for wisdom. I am no where near perfect, just striving toward the mark. I don’t believe in wasting time and don’t believe in the “young and dumb” mentality that so many others in my generation use as an excuse to waste these years away. I would like to retire someday, preferably early, debt-free with a successful life and career to look back on, and I strongly believe that being smart in my youth, with a strong faith, is the key to laying that foundation. I am choosing a higher road than that which society has laid before me with endless possibilities.
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7: 13-14
What does I.AM.WO.MAN mean? What is it about?
I am wo-man. I am a species of my own. I was created in the sight of God to fulfill a purpose here on Earth. I am present and known. Being a woman, to me, is more than just being the opposite of a man. I take my role in life and in this world very seriously. Out of all the things and possibilities for me to be, God chose for me to be this. Being a woman is a species. Just like being any other mammal. In a pride of lions there are the lionesses. What makes them so powerful is the fact that they understand their role. They know what they were created to do and they operate in that role to make the whole pride work. They do not try to be the male lion, they understand that their role is to nurture the young, grow the pride and obtain the food. Their ability to know their position and function in it to the best of their ability is what makes the lion the number one predator, the “king of the jungle.”
I am wo.man is simply saying I understand who I am, what I was created for and how to operate in that role effectively to have a prosperous life. This blog is my journey as a woman and the lessons and experiences I learn along the way as I blossom into my full potential.
I hope you find this as a great place to reference in your life!
